Precision engineering experts Produmax relocate to new £3.1million factory facility

Produmax, backed by the Regional Growth Fund has moved production to a manufacturing facility at Baildon Business Park.

Produmax, which makes parts for customers in aerospace, telecoms and medical devices, has relocated 44 staff from its original headquarters at Otley and a temporary unit in Yeadon.

It is hoped the new facility will allow Produmax to bring both teams together and provide space for its future expansion with an expected large increase in the workforce in the next ten years.

Jeremy Ridyard, managing director of Produmax, said: "This is the first step in a ten-year expansion programme for Produmax which will allow us to develop the products and services we provide for customers, and long term should create employment.

"Most of these will be for young people and apprentices coming into the industry as we grow our training programme."

Produmax secured a £600,000 grant from the Regional Growth Fund to support the build and fit-out of the factory. The construction project started in March 2014 and the move was complete by early 2016.
